A matric learner at Worcester Gymnasium ended off his high school career with a 7th place on the South African tennis rankings.
The tennis star, Andre Viljoen (17), played his last match for his school last Friday (18 February) on home ground against Charlie Hofmeyr
Viljoen made his mark in Grade 7 already when he was part of the South African schools’ team.
Viljoen participated in the Men’s Open Tournament in Gqeberha where he then was ranked 7th.
In addition to his accolades, the matric learner achieved his first international point at a tournament held in Durban two weeks ago.
