A group of Lifestyle Christian Academy (LCA) learners is currently touring South Korea, accompanied by school principal Connie Kim and the vice-principal, Amanda Ungerer.

LCA wants to expose learners to other cultures and people, so that they will not be afraid of foreign countries, cultures and people, says a school spokesperson.

Learners from LCA visited South Korea for the first time four years ago. This year’s visit was made possible by a local church in Seoul and its members.

An academy spokesperson says the name of the project is the Daniel Project. “Daniel of the Bible kept his faith in all difficulties, but God finally lifted him up as prime governor in a foreign country even though he was a captive,” the spokesperson said, “in line with LCA’s aim to raise, educate and equip their learners to become Global Christian Leaders like Daniel.”

During this tour learners will perform a dance, drama and drum act at various churches.

They will also visit other churches, museums, a theme park, an indoor swimming pool, a primary school, a traditional Korean village, an aquarium, and visit the South African embassy in Korea and meet the ambassador.

The learners will be able to experience the culture, food and also view a paper lantern festival which will also take place. It is fun and education at their best, the spokesperson said.

They will be back on local soil on 16 October.
