Matriculants, not studying further, are encouraged to apply for the PAY Project

Matriculants yearning for an opportunity are in luck.

Matriculants yearning for an opportunity are in luck.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in the Western Cape would like to encourage all matriculants of 2018 who are not studying further in 2019 to apply for the Premier’s Advancement of Youth (PAY) project.

The PAY project offers 700 placements within the Western Cape government’s structures to deserving matriculants, where they can gain invaluable work experience in the public sector, contactable references for their CV, a set of skills to render them marketable and employable, and an opportunity to make informed career choices.

The PAY project is an opportunity for matriculants to create a prosperous life for themselves after school and without a tertiary education. Gaining exposure to a network of skilled and experienced public officials will groom them for a possible career in public service, or expose them to career avenues they may not initially have considered.

The closing date for applications for the PAY project is Friday 18 January. Any additional information can be found on the PAY website, www.westerncape.gov.za/pay.
