: Montagu Dried Fruit and Nuts recently opened their very own factory shop at the Kloof Padstal in Montagu.

The Montagu Dried Fruit and Nuts Factory shop has recently opened at the Kloof Padstal in Montagu. The new store will bid a warm sunshine welcome to visitors coming into town through the Kogmanskloof road.

Since 2011, Montagu Dried Fruit and Nuts has grown to become one of the fastest growing franchise operations in South Africa. “We have developed a successful franchise concept, which has led to the opening of 135 stores nationally, taking the name of our town into just about every shopping centre in the country. No single individual takes the credit for this achievement – it was a gigantic team effort,” says CEO Hannes Jansen.

It is with great excitement that Montagu Dried Fruit and Nuts opens its very own factory shop. “We entered into a lease agreement with the owners of the Kloof Padstal for the rental of the old nursery facility,” says Jansen.

“The Kloof Padstal remains the sole property of Route 62 Farmstall & Restaurant CC, Eric and Tineke Zilverentant and Astrid Bridger, and will continue to provide products and services of outstanding quality to the people of Montagu and all its visitors from around the globe,” says Jansen.

The combined efforts of Montagu Dried Fruit and Nuts and Kloof Padstal will prove to be a great asset to the town of Montagu. “Our new Montagu Factory Shop will prove to become a national beacon of service excellence and product innovation to further enhance the image of our town,” says Jansen. The sales consultants and management have already received product and sales training and are ready to welcome customers to the store.

The opening of the Factory Shop brought about further exciting business ventures for the community. “We procured a lease on the old station premises from Transnet and have agreed to provide the ‘stasie café’ facility to the community of Montagu, for the sale of art and other related products, free of any rental,” says Jansen. This facility will be under the management of Michelle Robinson.
